Combining elements of punk, Gypsy music, dub, and Brecht-ian cabaret, Gogol Bordello tell the story of New York’s immigrant diaspora through debauchery, humor, and surreal costumes. Led by singer/founder Eugene Hütz, their roster evolves with each subsequent release and tour. Their 1999 debut album, Voi-La Intruder, was issued by the indie Rubric Records, as was 2002’s widely acclaimed Multi Kontra Culti vs. Irony. They moved to SideOneDummy for 2005’s Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike, and released 2020’s Rick Rubin-produced Trans-Continental Hustle on his American Recordings label, but jumped to Dave Matthews’ ATO label for 2013’s Pura Vida Conspiracy, and to Cooking Vinyl for 2017’s Seekers and Finders and 2022’s https://www.atelier.lu/
